Do you provide psychological testing or mental health treatment?
My work is focused on helping families deal with school systems. I do not provide private psychological testing or mental health services. If needed, I will share resources with families, including therapists, clinicians, related service providers, parent support groups, and books/websites.
Do you provide legal services?
I do not provide legal services or advice. I may be able to help you identify whether legal representation is necessary for your child.
Do you take insurance?
No, educational advocacy services are not covered by insurance plans.
What if my child is in private school or homeschooled?
All children have the right to a free, appropriate, public education that meets their educational needs, whether or not they attend public school. I can help you navigate the school district process to determine whether your child can get services from the school for their learning differences, and help develop a plan.
Where do you operate?
My services focus on helping Oregon families, but I am available for consultation with out-of-state clients on a case by case basis. Remote consultation is available for international clients involved with DoDEA.
